ok haven't updated in a long time I know so here it is.
Common tests are just over and I just recently watched trailers for a couple of movies. The movie '300' looks awesome, would love to watch it but there is a slight problem, its rated M-18 in S'pore.
Ok that aside, I have picked up some books from the library and am reading. Hope that helps me brush up my English, which is rusty as ever right now.

I found this real life story very interesting to read. It also broadens your perception of things.
An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, the Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....
Professor: So you believe in God?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Professor: Is God good?
Student: Sure.
Professor: Is God all-powerful?
Student: Yes.
Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hm?
Student: (Silent.)
Professor: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fellow. Is God good?
Student: Yes.
Professor: Is Satan good?
Student: No
Professor: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...God..
Professor: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.
Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?

Professor: So who created evil?
Student: (Silent.)
Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?

Professor: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and serve the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?

Professor: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelled your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.
Professor: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.
Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Professor: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as cold?
Professor: Yes.
Student: No sir. There isn't.
(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events)
Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have any thing called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre)
Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student: You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light.... But, if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it is called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Professor: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad. God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
Professor: (The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)
Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class breaks out into laughter)
Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelled it?.....No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

inside out
Common tests are soon going to be over and I am so looking forward. Anyway, I recently purchased a new MP3 player (last week) and its so damn small and cute. It still plays videos which was surprising for a player that size. I like it alot, hope it doesn't get broken anytime soon.
Chinese New Year is coming and I can't wait. Waiting for Chinese New year since the beginning of the year. Its four consecutive days of holidays, yeah thats right NO school. I will spend like two days studying and the rest of the time slacking (whoo HOO!). Yea thats about it, and by the way, for those who had been living under a rock, valentine's day is the day after tomorrow.

First post for 2007!!
Okay, have not been updating for a while lately, this is mainly due to my laziness factor. But anyways a quick recap of what happened so far.
Had a hell lot of tests so far, mainly being e-maths, a-maths and English. Heck, yesterday I had a social studies open book test and the common test test are just two weeks away. Boy, isn't this crazy. All this madness aside, lets go for more.....urm.......madness.
2007 is is in fact the most hectic year since .... 2000. The 'O' levels are this year for me. iPhone is gonna be released in June, windows vista at the end of this month, the simpsons movie on the 27th of july, spiderman 3, fantastic four, rendervous with rama and lots of other stuff. 2007 is also a very hectic year for tamil cinema. With movies like Pokkiri, aalwar, A.T.M, killadi, dhaam dhoom, sivaji the boss, dasavatharam and plenty of ther tamil stuff being released this year.
starting my revision for 'O' levels next week itself, slacking period is officially over. Also decided to get new cellphone and a portable audio player for myself.(can't wait..!!).
Gtg sleep now, having a pathetic useless piece of nothingness known as the motivational talk tomorrow. Oh, that reminds me, we just finished presenting our english project, hoped that we would rock but instead we reaked. Mostly because the class was not able to comprehend what we were trying to say to them.

India
Ok, since I am back from india, here's a short summary of what i did. I stayed there for a total of 12 days, excluding the first and last day.
Day 1: stayed at my grandma's house did nothing as i only arrived there at mid afternoon.
Day 2: When to a famous temple, its unique in the sense that most of the devotees wear red only.
Day 3: Went to Gengin Fort and climbed all the way up the hill. For those who don't know, Gengin fortress is a a palace located on top up a hill 400 meteres high. Its famous for its ruler Desinga Raja, (there is even a song from a movie bearing his name). Pictures below, too lazy to caption them .
Day 4 - 7: did nothing much, played around with my uncles motorbike, and visited relative's house. Wathed rendu and chennai kaadhal on pirated disks.
Day 8:stayed at cousin's house
Day 9: Another grandma's house
Day 10: Did nothing
Day 11: Came back to Chennai, it was a hectic day. First early in the morning, went to see a house that my parents were building, it was huge. Then Disd nothing untill late afternoon to watch a movie (Sivapathikaaram) , Movie wasn't so good, so when rest of the family left home, me and my uncle when to Satyam theathre for a movie, but couldn't a single ticket there. So we went for some late night shopping. I a managed to get a 2 gb memor stick for only Rupees 1325 (abt 60 dollars). It retails at $300 here in Singapore. Then, later we went to a restaurant to eat and then went home, it was soo fun. I had great time with my uncle.
Day 12: On day twelve me and my other uncle to buy more stuff. Then went to the beach, but me and my other uncle got lost from the others so it was not fun at all, furthermore it was night. So me and the two uncles when to watch tiruvilayyadal arambam at night 10 p.m (singapore time 12.30), it was very late. The movie is super damn good, all u guys should watch it. Then left home, slept, and finally left for Singapore the next day.
Conclusion: From this visit I learned that india is very great and huge, and that there alot of things to be seen there. I am definetly going there next year. Me being a indian myelf, miss india alot now that I am here.

Had the celebrations yesterday, and well it was fun and sorta of weird(even for me), guess this is because this is the first time I am having a joint birthday celebration. Whoo Hoo! my birthday is on the way!!
Hehe, my birthday is still 4 days away and I am already excited, hehe. Ok, anyway here's the deal, I won't be celebrating my Birthday this year (sobs...). However my cousin's birthday is tommorow (happy birthday Ravin!) and my father and his brother(ravin's dad) have decided that we will have a joint birthday celebration on Sunday at thier house. This means that I get the presents and sort of get to to celebrate, I am so elated right now after reading this.
I think I will post some pictures, considering how cute Ravin is, he is only 2 as of tmr btw. I think he's the yougest cousin I have. Yeah I am gonna have a rocking time!

OK, SO far...
umm.. Yesterday, I did nothing much, but got started on some english project that we supposed submit on the first day of school, I was voted to become leader(urgh......), Aarthi is the Secretary, James is the creative manager(you have creative way of using words aarthi) and lastly Poovitha is the info collector.
The project aside, you guys reading this should check out microsoft office 2007, its so damn cool, the user interface has been totally revamped so those who are used previous versoins will find this totally ET.
Another news and this is the most important, my aunt went to SITEX yesterday, and she was told that from yesterday onwards there is a free wireless broadband service throughout Singapore for the next three years, you can sign up for it free here

boring
Before I am begin.......I would have most likely NOT typed this entry if lil' missus Cookie Aarthi hadn't asked me.hehe
Anyway, again I did nothing important in the past two day. Learned poker yesterday and boy its one heck of a complicated game, but Its fun....again, FUN. Then I watched two videos about poker. The first one being Official Poker Card Stunts And the second on being Weapons of the Card Shark. WoW...I love those Videos, good cheating resource for any poker player wannabe.
GOt the DVD superman returns and just finished watching it. Was to go to school to give poovitha her some NPPC badge but had to go to my cousins place intead, (sorry Poovitha)

Muahaha!
Ok, for the past two days i basically did nothing. Was browsing through penguinamagic t get myself some trick(my dad promised me that i could by some trick for my bDay. ) And i was looking through and found some very interesting illusions and guess what, i found out that if i buy something for above US60 dollars, I get this 'raccoon for free' as part of a promotion nad the raccoon itself is worth about 30 dollars, so seems like a very good deal, anyway here is a vid of the raccoon, so cute

Swimming
Today, went swimming with my cousins(their were staying here for the night), must say that it was quite fun, maybe they were the contributing factor to my madness but hey, I am feeling caraazy! even as I am typing this. Ok, me cousins just left, and am planning to sleep really late today,and for the record, so far for this year, I have wasted exactly 21 decks of cards, rest in peace my little friends.
And lastly, Happy to hear that u tamil gals (Aarthi, Poovithat, Fatimah, Maha, Rekha,and blah blah) had fun last night at Maha's Party.
Here's a questions for Maha: u are scared of those cute butterflies?
P.S: no funny picture of the day today, but here's a qn, a wise guy once (yesterday) told me that people like to say the word leech, and guess what, I did, for example Leech Leeech Leechh Leech. I can go on and on but thats no the point, those reading this, Do u guys (and gals) like to say the word leech?, think abt it, and then tell me.

Open House
Today is the 24th of November AKA Open House, so went to school and helped set up our booth. Then sat day for a couple of hours doing nothing, soon I realised that it was going now where, non of the parents came to the NCC booth. So I started going to the English editorial booth were Aarthi and Karthick were and was hanging out the for awhile.......Soon Kumar popped up after his Marshall Duty and and were walking around. Then we started having the ol' game of truth of dare till about 4.30. Then everybody started leaving and now I am hear typing about what happened.
