“God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of the players, (ie everybody), to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.” :)

A little story...

There was once a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year-old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. He hesitated for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes, I'll do it if it will save her."

As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, seeing the color returning to her cheeks. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away?".

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her....

Giving when it counts, thats true love.

'Man goes to doctor.

Says he's depressed.

Says life seems harsh and cruel.

Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain.

Doctor says "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up."

Man bursts into tears.

Says "But, doctor...I am Pagliacci."

Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains.'

Friday...

Went to siloso beach at sentosa with tamil classmates from secondary shool yesterday. We had alot of fun like playing a monkey game in the water and also a dog-and bone games amongst others. Mrs Subas also took time off to come see us. The ball we used to play the monkey game kept going to far away from us in the waters and someone had to keep swimming too dangerously far to get it (e.g. Jaya). While playing soccer erly that day, my toe hit somewhere and i developed a sprain. It was painless almost the whole day till we left home. Now its swollen like hell and hurts terribly. But that aside it was a very fun and exciting day. Kinda regretted not bringing a camera to capture
these memories.

Results

Judgment day is over!! The results came, and they were not bad.
I got 8 distinctions!!! Thats a 'A' for every subject. Unfortunately it was just 2 A1s and 6 A2s.
But I'm still happy because the results were much better than I expected. But I could have just gotten 8 A1s and be more happy (yes I'm greedy). Furthermore, Finding out that I'm the only person to get 8 distinctions in my whole school was like icing on cake.

Anyways, there's no school till Tuesday so Its gonna be boring. Maybe I will go out with friends somewhere.

Lastly, Happy pre-Birthday to Zhijian and Congrats to all those who think you have done well for the 'O' s.

...

It has abt 2 weeks since JC started and everything has been going pretty smoothly. There was a camp during the first 3 days. It was kinda fun and gave me and opportunity to make some friends. However i feel that i was not able to enjoy it to the fullest potential because i was at the sick bay for most of the 2nd day because of a sprain.

School than started and its pretty boring. Regret taking H2 geog, its one of the most boring lessons ever. I had to literally pinch myself to stay awake during yesterday's lecture. My opinion is that the maths lesson was the most interesting because we had something to actually do instead of just listening to the lecturer.

I feel out of place sometimes because most of the time everyone around me is speaking in Chinese. I feel really unlucky cos there is not even a single indian in my OG group or class while oddly, Aravindhan has 6 Indian friends in his OG group. It just feels weird.

Lastly, everyone in school seems to be getting sick. Even I, i rarely get sick, have been sick for about 5 days already. So whoever is reading this, pls take care of your health.

...

A very wise man once said:
"A mighty pain to love it is,
And 'tis a pain that pain to miss;
But of all pains, the greatest pain
It is to love, but love in vain."

true indeed.

Billa

Just came back from the movies. Was watching Billa and this is really the third best tamil film for me this year. The movie is really slick and action packed. Nayantare is really hot. Everyone was clapping and cheering when she made her entrance. But her clothing was bit too revealing though. Overall a really good film.

Anyway, they also screened Bheema trailer before the movie started and that was just awesome. I think its worth the ten bucks to just watch the trailer. I managed to find the trailer on the new so enjoy!

lastly, pls watch the movie Kalloori and if u are free evano oruvan. These the one of the films that make you think deep even after they end.

boredom + some extras

Boredom is now taking over the newfound freedom this Holiday. Most of the time I spend starring into oblivion thinking ( or day dreaming for that matter.) . If not for my Sister, with who I have pointless and sometimes idiotic arguments, I think i would died days ago because of boredom.

Went to Vivocity with tamil classmates to watch this movie called the Tattoist. It ain't good. Later everyone decided to play pool which meant that I had to do something else meantime ( I'm not sixteen yet.) so played some games at the arcade. Later ate and went home. Loved the time with classmates as it may be one of last few.

I am typing this.

Ok, everything has been going fine lately. dreaded 'O' levels are over. I can pretty much do anything I want now. Recently watched a alot of movies and all of them sucked except Polladhavan and Om Shanti Om. Awaiting the release of Billa and Kalloori. and also Evano Oruvan.

Next week going for some outing at the beach (hope that it will be success.) Next week is also a good week cos I am getting a ipod touch, found that it has a web browser in it. Which means that I can pretty much rule the world!

My Bday is coming soon, and i have no idea what I am gonna do on that day.

Coffee has also become a recent addiction.

Ya that's it.

P.S. sorry if the post is fragmented cos I am in no mood right now to arrange everything properly.

AND PLEASE WATCH THIS TRAILER for the movie 'that four letter word'.

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

'O' levels are finally over. This means that I got 2 more months to do whatever I want.
Watched A.T.M on Sunday and the movie sucked.

Instead of me telling you how much its sucks, watch the trailer of a potentially better movie.

Deathly Hallows

Finished reading Deathly Hallows last Saturday and here is what happens:

1.) Ron is killed by Bellatrix while trying to get the sword of Gryffindor.

2.) Harry is revealed to the illegitimate son of Lily and Snape. James potter was in fact a death eater.

3.) Harry does not DIE. He is transformed into a house elf by Dumbledore who is actually alive.

4.) The voldemort we saw in the books is actually a decoy played by Serius Black who is fact a death eater.

5.) The actual voldemort is Neville who is also the son of Dumbledore.

6.) Voldemort and Dumbledore had made up the whole story so that they can wait till harry protection spell thingy goes off, so that they could kill him.

7.) Fawkes is the last hocrux.

8.) Neville kills all muggles.

9.) Neville becomes the ultimate ruler of the world.

Hope that clears the doubts of those who have not been reading the books. I think that this book is the best in the series because of all its weird twists. Hats off to J.K Rowling.
